What Courses Are Required for the CLAA Diploma Program

The Classical Liberal Arts Academy (CLAA) Diploma Program is designed to provide students with a complete classical Catholic high school education. To earn a CLAA Diploma, students must complete a full program of modern academic studies and the traditional classical Catholic curriculum.

Required Modern Academic Disciplines
- English: 4 years
- Foreign Language: 4 years
- Mathematics: 4 years (through calculus)
- Science: 4 years
- Social Studies: 4 years

Required Classical Catholic Disciplines
- Theology: Sacred Scripture, Catechism, Church History
- Philosophy: classical and Scholastic philosophy
- Trivium: Grammar, Logic, Rhetoric
- Quadrivium: Arithmetic, Geometry, Music, Astronomy
- Classical Languages: Latin and Greek

Program Structure
- Students progress through Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior level study plans.
- Study is self-paced and mastery-based.
- Students must follow the official Academy study plans and complete the required examinations.
- Subject Certificates and Grade-Level Certificates are awarded as students advance.
- The Diploma is awarded after all four grade levels are completed.

Examinations and Records
- Students must pass live examinations in each subject and grade level.
- All course work and assessments are recorded in the CLAA Study Center.
- Only students formally enrolled in the diploma program may earn the official CLAA Diploma.
