Is CLAA approved by the Church?

The Classical Liberal Arts Academy (CLAA) is not formally approved by a bishop or diocese in any official or legal sense. However, it is devoted to the teaching authority of the Catholic Church in all matters of faith and morals.

In 2008, Mr. Michael requested ecclesiastical permission to establish the CLAA. He met several times with the Diocese's Vicar of Education and was encouraged to go forward with the work. Since then, the CLAA has been recognized and supported by Catholic families, clergy, and religious around the world. The Academy has never has anything but support from the Church.

The Academy operates as an independent apostolate, committed to the restoration and promotion of authentic Catholic education based on the classical liberal arts and Scholastic theology.
