How long should a course take to complete?

There is no set timeline for completing a course in the Classical Liberal Arts Academy. Some students finish a course in three to six months, while others may take one to two years or more. The time needed depends entirely on the student’s ability to complete the work—not on any pace set by the Academy.

Because CLAA promotes mastery-based learning, students are encouraged to move at the pace that allows them to truly understand and retain the material. The goal is not to finish quickly, but to study carefully and thoroughly. Students are free to take more time with difficult subjects and move more quickly through material they understand.

This flexible pacing allows families to build a study routine that fits their schedule and supports real academic growth.
