How are electives and enrichment courses handled within the program?

The CLAA diploma program gives students full freedom to explore electives and enrichment courses in addition to their required studies. Because the program is year-round and self-paced, students can add extra courses at any time and progress through them as they wish.

Elective Policy
- Students may enroll in any elective or enrichment course offered by the Academy at their own discretion.
- There is no limit on the number of elective courses a student may take.
- Electives are entirely optional and can be pursued alongside or after required subjects.

Pacing and Flexibility
- Students work through electives at their own pace.
- There are no fixed start or end dates.
- Electives can be taken during or between required courses.

Record Keeping
- All elective and enrichment courses added to a student’s account are included in gradebooks and reports.
- Completed electives appear on progress reports and transcripts alongside required subjects.
- This ensures a complete academic record of all coursework attempted and completed.

Purpose
- Electives allow students to deepen their studies, explore personal interests, or develop additional skills.
- The open structure of the CLAA program encourages self-directed learning and intellectual growth.
